The plot involves a woman who sets out a well-intentioned plan of bringing together her dysfunctional family in the wake of the family’s matriarch, her mother-in-law. She deceives her husband and others in to believe their mother left rules for the family to follow in the lead up to Christmas. Wanting to believe their mother left some guidance to help heal the wounds of her abs...。查向善（江美仪 饰）是一名全职母亲，看着两个可爱的女儿渐渐长大，对她们从生活到学习都严加管教，生怕一点疏忽造成不可挽回之错。无奈大女儿严茜瑜（江嘉敏 饰）并不明白母亲的一片苦心，压抑之中和母亲的关系十分紧张，父亲严夏（黄智贤 饰）又遭遇中年危机，最终夫妻两人感情破裂，虽然仍然住在同一屋檐下，却有名无实。 那边厢，查向善和家教会的另一名母亲袁圆（吕慧仪 饰）之间亦保持着针锋相对的关系，互相视对方为眼中钉肉中刺，所幸得到训导主任文嘉熙（陈敏之 饰）从中调解，方才化干戈为玉帛。然而，查向善发现严茜瑜竟然和文嘉熙的弟弟文亮熙（何广沛 饰）情投意合，她暗中和文嘉熙联手，希望拆散这对鸳鸯。。
