主要讲述了元气少女陆昭昭因被神秘人喂下奇毒，而不得不在指定时间内完成刺杀皇甫钱庄少主皇甫一的任务，却在往后朝夕相处中与皇甫一相知相爱，二人勇敢对抗神秘人的故事。。故事讲述私家侦探哈柏应聘至纽奥尔良一大地主家庭调查一封告密信，由于牵涉入大地主与石油大王之间的斗争中，几乎因而丧命。该片拍来有点造作，但节奏仍算流畅爽朗，其中哈柏与石油大王之妻被关在水室而几乎没顶的高潮戏拍得相当紧凑刺激。。Young lovers, Max and lime dream to live life together, but there comes a war, and everything that seemed inviolable — their feelings and plans falling apart like a house of cards.
