杨奇是重庆某市消防官兵，叮当是杨奇入伍后训练的第一只搜救犬，一人一犬在训练的过程中，建立起深厚的感情。在一次地震救援任务中杨奇为保护叮当受重伤，被迫提前退役。离开杨奇后的叮当抑郁很久，好不容易接受了新主人林枫，却在一次火灾救援中，为救出困在烈火中的婴儿而受伤，失去了继续做搜救犬的资格，受到英勇称号表彰的叮当提前被安排住进了搜救犬疗养中心。在疗养中心的叮当，无时无刻都想着把自己训练成搜救犬、因保护自己而受伤的杨奇，终于有一天，叮当鼓起勇气，踏上寻找自己第一个主人的道路。。Thomas and Marianne, a feuding couple whose relationship has hit a wall, decide to spend a weekend at Thomas’s uncle’s lakeside cottage.
