本片为孙仲导演之代表作之一，由倪匡编剧，狄龙、汪禹、谷峰及赵雅芝主演。故事描述，河东府教头王阳（狄龙）受地方土绅孟二达（谷峰）陷害，成杀人疑犯，惟匿藏孟家任教头。后王收好武青年周平（汪禹）为徒，却惹孟不满；原来周、孟两大族为死敌，孟觉聘王当教头，实乃养虎为患，遂唆使大盗 「一条鞭」施以偷袭，幸王逃过大难，只是受了伤。孟家有寄居少女嘉嘉（赵雅芝）向不值孟氏所为，且对王很有好感，遂暗中援手……。When a casino owning dog named Charlie is murdered by his rival Carface, he finds himself in Heaven basically by default since all dogs go to heaven. However, since he wants to get back at his killer, he cons his way back to the living with the warning that doing that damns him to Hell. Once back, he teams with his old partner, Itchy to prep his retaliation. He also stumbles on to an orphan girl who can talk to the animals, thus allowing him to get the inside info on the races to ensure his wins。
