不幸被算命先生言中，相貌平平的马一毛（林永建 饰）从父辈起就过着颠沛流离的生活，早年间在广东干过各种上得或上不得台面的营生，后来总算在上海的弄堂里落脚，娶得漂亮的妻子胡根娣（何赛飞 饰），并育有三个子女：马鸣、马风和马拉。从文革十年到改革开放，老马一家经历了风风雨雨，而许是遗传了马家无法安定的基因，他们的孩子成年后也相继离家，四下闯荡世界。他们来来往往，经历了心灵和身体上的创痛与洗礼，寻找着生而为人的真意，寻找着属于自己最为本初的幸福…… 本片荣获第17届上海电视节白玉兰奖最佳导演奖（杨文军）。。BOYS is a story about two best friends on the first day of summer.
