以清洁房屋为生的单身母亲罗丝（艾美•亚当斯Amy Adams 饰）高中时曾是风光一时的校啦啦队员。当年男友迈克（史蒂夫•赞恩 Steve Zahn 饰）终于另娶他人，罗丝却与身为警察的迈克依然保持情人关系。罗丝八岁的儿子奥斯卡（杰森•斯佩瓦克 Jason Spevack 饰）因捣乱被学校开除，罗丝决定送儿子入私立学校学习。迈克告知罗丝犯罪现场清洁有利可图，于是罗丝与失业的妹妹诺拉（艾米丽•布朗特 Emily Blunt 饰）组成“阳光清洗公司”，专门清洁犯罪、事故现场，而做小生意的父亲乔（阿兰•阿金 Alan Arkin 饰）暂时照顾奥斯卡。可公司起步没多久，却因诺拉的失误造成了无可挽回的损失，姐妹二人也因此不欢而散…… 本片被提名2008年圣丹斯电影节评委会大奖。。I can see people will either love or hate this movie, depending on your own experiences and loves. Its basically about a incredibly obese police officer coming to terms with his own mortality (he is given a year to live at the start of the movie).
