第二次国内革命战争时期，国民党围剿红军，江南某苏区的儿童团员丹丹和冬冬姐弟俩放羊时站岗放哨。在红军撤退途中，他们发现红军司令员受伤的白龙马，便找隐蔽处为马治伤。一次，冬冬在河里捉鱼，白龙马竟走入敌人的马群中。寻马时冬冬被俘，但机智的他用芦笛信号把白龙马诱出，敌人的马群也随白龙马一起向红军的驻地跑去。。A group of rogues steal a scroll granting its bearer the property of the land of Aurocastro in Apulia (south of Italy). They elect a shaggy knight, Brancaleone from Norcia, as their leader, and decide to get possession of this supposedly wealthy land. Many adventures will occurr during the journey.。
