物語は「監察医朝顔」のラストの翌年春から幕を開け、朝顔が母の遺体を探しに1人で東北を訪れたことによって新たな物語が紡がれていく。彼女が東日本大震災と母の死に深く向き合うさまや、前作では描けなかった東日本大震災以外の大規模災害にも相対する姿が切り取られる。。Ana is a girl from Seville, who's sick of her family and the problematic neighborhood they live in. But things are about to get even worse when her mother, in a desperate attempt not to get evicted, comes up with a cunning plan...。
