一段嘉庆早年的民间传说，言情、武侠、冒险、推理，情节跌宕起伏、悬念迭生。 乾隆末年，太子嘉庆（刘德凯饰）无意得知生母尚在，为寻访生母下落，嘉庆携护卫李勇（宋达民饰）乔装入台。 寻访期间，机缘巧合，先后结识了二两（周明增饰）、明珠（狄莺饰）等人，在二、明等人的帮助下，破奇案，惩奸佞！每每在危急时刻化险为夷。而嘉庆、明珠也因此而互生情愫。然终究地位悬殊，一段感情将何以为继？生母下落又在何方？ 与此同时，奸臣和坤勾结白莲教意图谋害嘉庆，内忧外患，嘉庆又如何化解？。《就这样长久离别》是现实地描写交往了很久的恋人的爱情和离别的故事。林周焕在剧中饰演小说家裴尚熙，他在推出第一部作品后就名声大噪，但之后很长一段时间都无法再完成新作品，在工作和爱情面前只剩下自我厌恶的情绪。他陷入和所属出版社编辑长同时也是他的女友郑伊娜（张熙珍饰）之间的爱情和工作的烦恼之中。。The poet Dante is lost in a dark and gloomy wood.
