One day, they are tasked with cleaning a house where there were three dead bodies inside. Their job is to clean the corpses that have rotted. When they arrived there, they found that there are strange things happening and then they discover a strange book.。小镇青年双喜为了追求理想，辞去县文化馆的工作，来到北京，在一家影楼打工谋生。他和女友小倩租住在胡同的一间平房里过着清贫而温馨的生活，一起为生存和理想而努力。然而现实让他不得不回到老家重新开始他以前抛弃过的生活……。
