梅蝶纹是疯人院的医生，却意外被病人杀死。梅蝶纹的丈夫袁邵认为妻子死得蹊跷，于是装疯进入疯人院调查。袁邵来到不久，医生吴远就辞职了，袁邵出院找到了吴远，吴远求袁邵放过自己，并且暗示疯人院院长梅尔教授有问题。袁邵不顾女儿的反对，又回到了疯人院，发现了梅尔教授用活人做实验的秘密……梅尔不再手软，用尽了方法将袁邵逼疯。但袁邵并没有真疯，为救护士长符珍，袁邵却暴露了自己，符珍被袁邵感动，放了袁邵。袁邵带领警察冲入了疯人院，但梅尔早有准备，警察们扑了个空。梅尔再次扣下袁邵，就在梅尔要用袁邵做实验的关键时刻，天降神兵，另一个潜伏在疯人院装疯的警察路医生救了袁邵，小强。也揭开了疯人院的秘密。。The story revolves around Gabriel and Idriss whose lives have taken very different directions since an argument.
