In 1978, a high-ranking spy from the Eastern Bloc defected to the West. Creators Adina Sădeanu and Kirsten Peters use this as a starting point for a game of spy poker between the CIA, Securitate, KGB and Stasi in which no one puts their cards on the table.。在父亲早逝后，一个小男孩与丧夫的继母一起生活在一幢乡间别墅里，继母沉浸在一种难以言喻的伤痛中，导致两人本就脆弱的亲情面临崩溃的危险。不久之后，小男孩开始听到走廊里回荡着令人不安的声音，并很快就被一个长相与他父亲十分相似的怪异生物所困扰。继母告诉男孩这一切都是他自己的想象，但当这个怪异生物开始制造事端后他们的生活开始失控。。
